Dave Cook became Dakota United's Technical Director on August 1, 2011 after serving as the Technical Director for North Dakota Soccer Associaton since 2004. Cook has a United States Soccer Federation "A" Licence, United States Soccer Federation "Y" Licence, as well as an Advanced National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
It is exciting to have Dave’s knowledge and skills from the State, Regional, and National level applied to the Bismarck/Mandan soccer community. Dave is plugged into the local soccer pulse and has made a major impact in various roles over the years. Under Dave's leadership, we anticipate Dakota United will transform into the model soccer club for North Dakota.
Dave is a former University of Mary men's soccer All-American, and returned to his roots as the University of Mary Marauders head men's soccer coach in 2008. Prior to that, Cook was an assistant coach with the U-Mary women's soccer program (2004-07). During that time, the Marauders advanced to the 2007 NCAA regional tournament in their first year of eligibility and won the Northern Sun conference tournament twice in two opportunities. Dave was also the Bismarck Century High School co-head girls soccer coach from 2005-08. He guided the Patriots to a state championship in 2007 and four WDA titles.
