Spring Recreation Soccer

Pre-K through 6th grade

Online registration is open for Spring 2019 Recreational Soccer (BSL) for boys and girls from pre-k through 5th grade and 6th grade boy only (girls soccer season is currently running in the school system). Your registration includes a t-shirt to match your team. Registration closes completely on March 17  March 20 at noon. No late registrations will be accepted due to the planning of teams unless approved by the DUSC staff members. Please understand that in order to provide the best experience to our players and members, it’s important for us to hold firm on a final date of registration to properly plan these sessions.

NOTE: We have had an inquiry of questions for 7th and 8th grade boys. We will allow these registrations to see what our numbers come to. We may alter these grades to play more of a 3v3 style game if necessary.

  • Registration is open.

  • Game Dates: We have fields beginning the first weekend in April. With all of this snow we know this isn't realistic. We are potentially looking at a "dated" 4 week session but still playing our normal 6 weeks of games. Spring is tough with the snow. Please hold tight as we wait for approval Bismarck Parks and Rec to begin field use.

    Our ideal schedule:
    April 6 - 13 - 27, May 4 - 11 - 18

    Wet fields in early April:
    April 27, May 4/5, May 11, May 18/19

  • Coaches Meeting
    Date
    : to be determined
    Location: to be determined
    Time: 6:30 pm

Age Registration Guide: When registering, you must enter your child's 2018-2019 grade. For example, a child currently in the 3rd grade will register as grade "3". A child currently in kindergarten  will register as grade "K". Children enrolled in pre-school for 2018-2019 will register as either "Pre-K".

Spring recreation soccer typically starts in early to mid April and runs through late May/early June. Games are mainly on Saturdays between 8:30 am - 5 pm. We schedule 6 games and practices which typically works out to 6 weeks but may be condensed into 4 based on wet field conditions from snow. Please consider volunteering to coach a team. (Our recreation program is successful because of our great parents that step in to help! Thank you!) Games are played on Saturdays and Sundays if needed. Practices are held in neighborhood school fields once per week on weeknights. Players are required to have a soccer ball, shin guards, and water bottle.

Age groups may be combined if registration numbers warrant. We do our best to keep players on teams with kids at their school and grade level so please choose your player's grade level correctly.

New this season:

  • Volunteer coaches need to be background checked and are required by USSF to take the SafeSport training. All sports are heading this direction for the safety of our children but please be assured there is no cost to you. Once you have volunteered to coach we will send you all the information you need to get started. Your background check and SafeSport certificate must be on file with our office before you can start coaching. Both of these are run yearly.
  • We are also looking for grade coordinators to work closely with our staff members answering parent questions and developing team rosters. We are looking to better serve our members during the preparation period and throughout the season. If you feel this is something you would be interested in or have questions, please contact Alan Lelm or Tanya Kraft.
