Coaching License Pathway

As fall soccer approaches we are excited to announce that grassroots coaching courses will take place again in Bismarck, ND on September 5th (4v4) and September 6th (7v7), 2023.

Just like in 2022, any fall rec coach who completes one of the grassroots courses and coaches a team this fall will not only receive one free registration, but we will also reimburse you for the course fee too! 

These licences will prepare coaches in understanding how to run a Play-Practice-Play training session, understand the Six Tasks of a Coach, and learn how to implement them within their own environment. 

 

To be eligible for the grassroots courses candidates must be at least 16 years of age and complete the free introduction to grassroots coaching course which takes approximately 20 minutes (link below). 

 

Both 4v4 and 7v7 courses will follow a blended format where candidates will attend both a two hour online session and a two hour in person session. Details below:

4v4 (Recommended for grades PreK, K, 1st)

Virtual Meeting - Wednesday, August 30, 2023 / 6:00PM - 8:00PM

On-Field Meeting - Tuesday, September 5, 2023 / 5:30PM - 7:30PM

Please note: Only 36 places are available for each course so to reserve your spot register ASAP!

 

D Licence

Registration for the D license course is not currently open. However, to be eligible for the D license candidates must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Introduction to Grassroots Coaching
  • 11v11 Grassroots In-Person
  • One (1) Additional Grassroots In-Person (4v4, 7v7, or 9v9)
  • One (1) Additional Grassroots Online (4v4, 7v7, or 9v9)

or

  • Introduction to Grassroots Coaching
  • Previously Earned USSF E License

or

  • Introduction to Grassroots Coaching
  • Previously Earned USSF F License
  • 11v11 Grassroots In-Person
  • One (1) Additional Grassroots In-Person (4v4, 7v7 or 9v9)
