Referees

At Dakota United Soccer Club we believe that referees are a critical element of the game of soccer.  Referees can help educate players on the laws of the game and provide consistency in our various leagues and events.  With leagues for all ages and skill levels, there is always a need for new and experienced referees.

Why Referee?

Give back to the game - educate players on the laws of the game
Help improve the quality of soccer in the community
Part-time job with lots of flexibility - you pick when you work
Excellent pay while remaining active with soccer

Start Here to Ref Fall & Spring Recreation

Dakota United SC requires referees for grades 2 - 12. We accept new or experienced referees. Whatever your age, you have the ability to give back to the game, while also making a little extra money!

Spring forms are due March 1 at midnight. Fall forms are due July 15 at midnight. We do not accept late applications. Please fill out the Referee Form. Then, email the document to; director@dakotaunitedsoccer.com

Get Certified as a Referee

In order to referee with Dakota United Soccer Club, you must be certified through the USSF state referee organization.

This process can take several weeks to complete and usually includes a weekend clinic, so do not wait to get certified. Referees can typically complete the certification process anytime from January to May for that current year, but again do not wait!

Below are the certification processes for North Dakota.

ND Soccer Association Referee Training

The North Dakota State Referee Committee leads the State Referee Association in promoting and implementing U.S. Soccer's referee initiatives and programs within North Dakota.

The North Dakota State Referee Committee provides opportunities for any individual to become an entry-level soccer referee.
