Where are games played?

Games are held at the Cottonwood Soccer Complex on South 12th Street.

 

Are games held in the rain? When do you cancel due to weather?

Yes. Games continue in the rain unless lightening is in the area. DUSC staff/coaches will cancel a game if we see weather will cause an issue, specifically lightening.

 

When are game times typical for 1st grade, 3rd grade, etc.?

We do not have a typical time for any of the grades. Our schedule is dependent on the number of registrations in each grade which then leads to the numbers of teams we end up having for those grades. We will not have a definite time for games until the schedule is announced.

 

When will the game schedule be available?

The game schedule for our Outdoor League is developed after teams are developed and coaches are set. We work with our coaches first and foremost as some of them do coach multiple teams.

We have random questions asking if we know roughly what time games for certain grades will be. We have no way to determine the game schedule before hand. We have a different number of registrations for each session which therefore changes the number of teams and the times for games. Essentially it is a snowball effect.

A mass email is sent to all registrants when the game schedule is final along with a link to the schedule.

 

Why are games scheduled on Sundays?

We only schedule games on a Sunday if weather is uncooperative during our 6 week session. We have a limited number of weeks as the fields are transitioned from one season to another by Bismarck Parks and Rec.

 

Are games played on holidays?

Games are played on Saturdays. Occasionally games need to be made up due to weather cancellations. Games will likely not take place on Easter but may take place on Saturday of the Easter weekend. We do our best based on the dates we acquire for field use from Bismarck Parks and Rec.
