How long are practices?
Practices are about one hour long and are held once per week.
When do practices start?
The first official team practice is scheduled during the week prior to the first game.
Where are practices?
Practices are held at the Cottonwood Soccer Complex as well as at schools and parks throughout the Bismarck area. Locations are assigned by Bismarck Parks and Recreation based on field availability after school sports and activities have been scheduled. These fields are then allocated to multiple soccer clubs in the area, not just DUSC.
Please note: Requests to switch teams for a different practice day or time are generally not possible, as our staff works hard to create balanced teams and fair schedules.
Can I request a specific practice night?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests for specific practice nights. Teams are formed based on the number of registrants, keeping school locations and player distribution in mind. We also work around the schedules of our volunteer coaches, whose availability helps determine practice times. We encourage open communication between parents and coaches whenever possible.
Can I switch teams if the practice time doesn’t work for my family?
We’re sorry, but switching teams for scheduling conflicts is not an option. We understand this can be challenging, but approving one change would require us to approve many, which could leave teams short on players for games and disrupt team balance.
When and where will practice schedules be posted?
Practice dates and times are set after teams are formed and coaches are assigned. Volunteer coaches choose practice times that work with their schedules, as their participation is essential to the success of the program. Once finalized, practice details will appear on your player’s team page. Parents can view the Team Calendar by logging in to their account, or through the Stack Team App, where both practice and game schedules are posted.
